| • Jack • Edward • Conners • Name: Jack Edward ConnersNickname: Jack, Dad, ChiefAge: 33Weight: 187 lbsHeight: 5’9”Eye color: BlueHair color: BrownRace: HumanResidence: BastionNationality: BastionAffiliation: Bastion Police Department: Division of Metahuman CrimeOccupation:Captain, BPD. Division Chief: Metahuman Crime.Face Claim: Clark Gregg• all in the details • Appearance: Jack Conners is a man of average height and average weight. He normally doesn’t stand out in the crowd. His brown hair is always cut short, and in the same precise style as he has always worn. He isn’t overly bulky or slender but he does keep his body in shape to facilitate the rigors of his particular job. On duty, his blue eyes can be described as piercing, while his chiseled chin solidifies his look as someone who doesn’t cater to nonsense. When he is not wearing a tactical vest that sports the letters BPD:MHC in contrasting white, Jack typically wears a simple suit of black or dark blue over a white shirt. Even when off duty, Jack prefers simplicity in the clothing he wears. Solid colors and minimal patterns adorn his wardrobe, and his shoes are typically practical and care is taken with them.Personality: To the untrained eye, Jack Conners would look like any ordinary man on the street. Fact of the matter is that Jack is a cop through and through. He is constantly moving his eyes, watching his surroundings and keeping tabs on what people say and do. Conners has a good memory, which makes him seem far more intelligent than he gives himself credit. Generally though, Jack is a mild-mannered, kind, gentle man with a good head on his shoulders. He works hard for his family, and is ultimately committed to his daughter. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, but wouldn’t hesitate to give you a complimentary 8X8 room if you cross the line.Abilities:Jack has no formal abilities, being human. However, he does have a sharp mind and a quick wit that puts most ordinary folks to shame.Skills:Jack has a formal training from the Bastion Police Academy, and has degrees in Foreign languages, namely, Elven and Dwarven. He is fluent in both, and can carry on a pretty good conversation in the Avian tongue. • the tale of a lifetime• History: Jack grew up pretty normal. At least, as normal as you could in a world that was completely enveloped in war with itself. His area, thankfully, wasn’t much affected by the war in earnest. That way Jack was able to grow and develop in a well-adjusted human community. He excelled at school, and sought to understand the Others that humanity had been fighting for so long. After high school, Jack enrolled in Bastion City University, majoring in law. He found that he did well in law, but he also took classes in Elven and Dwarven language to start.
In college, he spent a lot of time studying and working on juggling so many courses. From one of his classes, he met a girl who had been struggling in a math class both had taken. Celeste was smart, pretty, and made Jack do really stupid things…she was perfect. After study breaks and meetings in the student union became more…the two were inseparable. Their last year, The Enlightenment hit the world, and the two love-birds hunkered down together, facing what seemed to truly be the end of the world. They survived with a few bumps and bruises, their relationship stronger than ever. Jack graduated a semester ahead of Celeste, and got a job with the Bastion PD. While she finished schooling, he took to the rigors of police training. After she graduated, Jack finally asked Celeste to be his wife, and she said yes.
Celeste went off to Pharmacology School, where she both studied to be a Pharmacist and planned a wedding while Jack fought his days away on the newly meaned streets of Bastion. Rising the ranks quickly, Detective Conners became an expert in crime related to the metahuman species. The Chief of Police quickly took notice, and Conners had opportunities to work with Gangs Enforcement, Narcotics, Undercover, Major Crimes, and Organized Crime Divisions. He gave them knowledge and offered his expertise to the various units on the species of The Others. Personally, Jack’s life was only more enriched by the entrance of his daughter, Amanda.
Celeste and Jack’s marriage found new meaning when Amanda had come in to the world. They loved their daughter more than the world that spun under them. It made Jack decide that a desk job would be more preferential for his own safety with his new found family member. Working with the various departments had earned Jack a final promotion to Lieutenant before he finally proposed a new Division: Metahuman Crime. From that time on, Jack’s major job was creating a new Division from the ground up, but the funding wasn’t there. That is, until…what folks in the MHC call “Bastion’s Awakening.”
That event was directly related to Jack. One secret Celeste had kept from him was her ability to manipulate mana as a spellcaster, where she had been part of a Coven of witches and warlocks since she had gained her abilities. She never used it in anger, not until that day anyway. She assaulted a man in her pharmacy, and was arrested by the Bastion PD. The interrogation process was a burden on her, and when Jack got her out, Celeste was nearly hysterical about the possibility of losing their daughter. Recusing himself from the case, Jack was horrified to learn that hours after Celeste was released, the lieutenant who had been interviewing his wife was ripped apart by werewolves, apparently under some sort of magical corruption. Celeste fled their home while Jack and Amanda were sleeping. She is still at-large and considered dangerous.
Despite the troubles with Celeste…perhaps because of them, money began pouring in to the MHC project. Jack assembled top officers, the best technology, and new tactics for dealing with the unique threat that metahuman criminals posed to the nearly complete human police force in Bastion. Once the Division was created, Jack was promoted to Captain and giving the reins on the Division he helped build. He still actively hunts Celeste…but not always because of the badge he wears on his belt. The only hurdle now is to get Terran Guard approval that his Division isn’t violating any treaties…Notes:The part of Amanda Conners is played by Suri Cruise. Is this a Canon?: No. Is this your second character, and if so, who is your first?:Ethan Kelly

| Now because you are essentially working on creating a new group, you will be responsible for running it, recruiting and such. Please keep the staff informed of the groups actions. Feel free to submit a Write Up for the Powers That Be section of the Information and create a couple of Canons for the group. | |
